THE ODDS OF FINDING LIFE IN GALAXY

The Odds of Finding Life in Galaxy

The search for extra-terrestrial life s ongoing through the works of various agencies. There are numerous planets in the galaxy with various similarities to the earth. Such similarities include the availability of the main ingredients to support life, including sources of energy and water. However, there isn't an accurate way of telling what is out there since there hasn't been any way of observing any microbial activities.

The Search for Simple Life

In my opinion, simple life possibly exists in the galaxy. This is primarily due to the evidence of some life-supporting ingredients such as water and possibly master molecules, including nucleic acids and proteins. Proteins construct amino acids, and nucleotides build nucleic acid. For instance, molecular hydrogen can be mixed with methane,...

Also, there has been proof of primitive photosynthetic organisms in...
…accommodate. This is primarily due to the instability of the galaxy since so much is still unknown. For instance, gamma-ray explosions or bursts associated with various planets in the galaxy cannot possibly support a life form beyond the microbes. Also, as much as some life-supporting ingredients are there, their stability raises concerns. For an organism to survive in a complex environment, that environment must first be steady to allow that organism to adapt to those conditions. However, instability is a significant phenomenon in the galaxy and possibly a reason for the lack of evidence supporting complex life in the galaxy (Bilder,…
